Brief timeline of THE HISTORY OF HAITI:
- Haiti is located on the western third of the island of Hispaniola, which it shares with the Dominican Republic. It is home to over nine million people.

- In 1804, the slaves had successfully declared their independence from France.
- From 1804-1915, more than 70 dictators ruled Haiti.
